My Project
Can you imagine every day not having the skills to communicate or understand language? More and more students are having difficulties with their speech and language skills and need support to learn how to hold a conversation, understand vocabulary, and be less frustrated when speaking. The pandemic has stifled student growth in this area. The materials below would support students with speech and language impairments in many ways.
To begin, board games are proven ways to practice skills like turn-taking, answering questions, being a good sport, etc.
The Game of Life is a great interactive game to practice these skills. The comprehension board games will help support new vocabulary use and understanding of language while making it fun at the same time.
In addition, markers, glue, and scissors will help to support our learners with creativity to make art projects to support art therapy pertaining to speech and language skills. Fidgets will also support kids who tend to get anxious when speaking in small or large groups and they can use them to alleviate some of the stress and pressure to speak in front of others.
