Every child should be able to read.
A multi-sensory approach makes reading easier for all children.
When used in the classroom, Orton Gillingham makes all children better readers. After receiving Orton Gillingham training this summer, I have begun to implement the curriculum during my small group literacy instruction.
To enhance my implementation of OG, I will need the sand and red word books to help with the multi-sensory approach.
The contrasting colors and different textures make the sand ideal when utilizing kinesthetic techniques in a sand tray for letter formation.
