My students are always full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. My students are eager to learn and be the best they can be. Whether it is learning how to read, participating in STEAM projects, or experiencing various types of technology for the first time, my students put forth their best every day.
I teach at a school of close to 1200 students right outside of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Our school serves a range of students from those living in hotel rooms to average middle-class families. The students at my school have a great passion for learning and they strive to grow in their education every day. Gaining valuable resources in the classroom provides my students with everything they need to achieve high expectations.
My Project
By having a Cricut Easy Press 2 and related materials, I will be able to provide the opportunity for students to make personalized shirts, bags, and other items. I plan to make shirts with my students to use for field trips, field day, and other major school activities. I also plan to make shirts or bags that will recognize star students and students who go above and beyond in the classroom throughout the year.
My classroom also has a Maker Space area, and I have a plan to allow my students to design their own t-shirts or bags in this area during the year, and having the Easy Press will make the process of actually putting the design on quick and easy!
This project can even open up the possibility of fundraising for the school and will show students real-world applications of measurement skills. My students will love having the ability to design their own shirts, and I am excited to see what all they can come up with!
