My Project
We are an anomaly in our school district. We are a high performing school with low-income students. Our school is quite diverse and has great parent involvement. Despite all our successes, funding is a great issue at our school.
I want to purchase mice so students don't have to struggle when trying to move their cursor.
They can use these tools to play and learn on sites we use at our school such as Amplify Reading, Learning A-Z, iReady, Epic!, ST Math, etc.
Students struggle with clicking on icons because they have difficulty with the small mousepad on the Chromebook. Having a wireless mouse would be less straining on their hands and much easier for them to navigate. With that challenge out of the way, they can relax and enjoy learning. Students will be able to listen to sounds/ words/ stories read aloud, watch instructional videos, and play learning games comfortably. This will help them with reading comprehension, writing, listening, speaking, spelling, and mathematics. Their improvement in reading skills will help them across all the other curriculum and give them a huge boost in confidence. In addition, they will be learning more math strategies, tending to precision, and using a variety of models to show their mathematical thinking.
