My Project

Our district provides each class with a set of manipulatives to use for instruction. The problem is that most times, we have to use those same manipulatives for a few years before getting a new set. During that time, they are written on, chewed up, and damaged. Math games and manipulatives are a good and meaningful part of math instruction. We need new manipulatives in our classroom. We also need math related books. Having books that emphasizes math concepts are good for introductory lessons, as well as, the closing component of the lesson.

Students get to manipulate material in order to build their understanding of the concept being taught, and the books help them to make a connection.

Math manipulatives can be used in individual and small groups to develop an understanding of many math concepts. Please assist me in getting books and math manipulatives for my class.
