I teach K/1 at a small, rural K-8 school in southwest Michigan. We have a caring community that tries to do its best for our students. Our school works hard to meet the needs of all our students, educationally and socially.

I will have a class full of inquisitive students who are eager to learn. They are fascinated by science, love to create, and are excited to explore. I will be guiding them to become independent learners and responsible citizens. I want to help them develop all of the life skills that they will need to do anything they desire in the future. Kindergarten and 1st grade are such years of growth, and it's critical to track that data throughout the year.
I am requesting an online assessment tool called ESGI (Educational Software for Guiding Instruction). This educator tool will allow me to assess students quickly. It also compiles the data in real time, making it much easier for me to adjust my instruction to better serve my students.
ESGI's different charts, graphs, and reports are excellent for providing documentation as well as sharing critical information to parents.
