My Project
Many students feel ashamed or embarrassed to talk about their periods, even with trusted adults like teachers. Having a supply of period products available can help to normalize menstruation and make students feel more comfortable talking about it.
One in four students in the United States has experienced period poverty, meaning they cannot afford to purchase menstrual products.
This can lead to students missing class time or feeling uncomfortable and self-conscious in school. Having a supply of period products available can help to ensure that all students have access to the products they need to stay in school and focus on their education.
