My Students

I work with approximately 110 amazing sixth graders. I am currently teaching my first ever group of students in a fully virtual world, which has its challenges and rewards all the same. I have many students whose first language is Spanish and whose first language is English, but have chosen to be a part of my district's Two-Way Immersion program, and are fluent in both English and Spanish. My students are so talented and unique in all of their own ways. I work towards are a fully inclusive classroom for students of all abilities. When my students enter sixth grade, they are wide-eyed and anxious. When they leave sixth grade, they are confident, bold, and ready for what lies ahead of them in middle school!

My Project

Having a large and eye catching classroom library is extremely important to me as a 6th grade language arts teacher. Instilling a love for reading in my students is one of my biggest passions, but it does come with it's challenges.

I need a device that students can easily access for quick check out, returns, and searching for books in my classroom library.

Having a Chromebook designated for this organization strategy is crucial to being able to keep track of my classroom books, so many of which that have been so generously donated to me. With easy access to books and the process of borrowing them, this eliminates any extra stress on myself and my students. With this device, we can easily read happily ever after!
