Help me give my students a celebration when they have finished learning about Ukraine and drawing portraits to send to orphans living in war tone Ukraine.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Two of the six digital art classes I teach have been working hard completing their Ukraine orphan portraits before winter break and the other 4 classes will be starting the Ukraine orphan portraits when they return to class in January. This is a month long project of research, learning how to digitally draw portraits with Google Drawing and then bringing that all together for the final Ukraine orphan portrait. The portraits will be hand delivered if possible or mailed to the orphanage and handed to the orphan in Ukraine by The Memory Project.
Creating a portrait of an orphan/for the orphan is a community service project deserving a drink and a treat for their hard work and much appreciated as it is not expected as they transition back to school from vacation.
