Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My Transitional Kindergarten (TK) students are full of curiosity, imagination, and creativity. One of their favorite areas in the classroom is the art center — a space where they can express themselves freely, develop fine motor skills, and bring their ideas to life through color and texture. Unfortunately, our current materials are very limited. We are in need of a sturdy new easel, fresh paint, and a supply of quality paper to help support their growth and exploration through art.
Adding an easel and fresh materials would enrich my students’ school experience by making the art center more inviting, accessible, and developmentally appropriate.
An easel allows young learners to stand and work with larger movements, which supports their physical development as well as their creativity. With the right tools, students can gain confidence in their abilities, explore their emotions through color and design, and build the foundational skills they need for future learning — all while having fun. Your support would bring so much joy and possibility to our classroom!
