This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We come together as a group multiple times a day. My first graders are very eager and creative. They need an easel from which I can help enhance those creative minds and love of learning.
My students come from a low income community and appreciate everything they comes there way!
They are the most creative, curious, and exciting group of first graders I could imagine. Each child brings something special into our classroom. They all come from a unique family background, including various cultures and languages. The school in which they attend has a network of supportive teachers and administrators, but lacks some of the resources that schools in more affluent communities have the privilege of interacting with.
My Project
Being a teacher has been my dream since I was a young girl. I have finally graduated college and pursing my dream in teaching young minds. The easel that I am requesting will benefit my little first graders so much. In a first grade classroom students come together to learn in the meeting area multiple times a day. They engage in shared experiences and lessons all throughout the day. To present the material to my students, I need an easel from which we can make charts together, practice math problems, and work on our phonics. Having this easel is the most fundamental tool in instructing students; introducing new material, reading together, writing together, and problem solving together.
This easel is first-grade friendly- it is inviting for students to read, write, and solve for their class.
Donations for this request will make an incredible difference in the lives of students who currently learn without this fundamental staple in their classroom. This easel will bring community, learning, and laughter to first graders who are eager for this easel!
