My Students

My 10th grade English students are a creative mixture of energetic, intelligent teenagers. Suspended between the child to adult phase, my students are seeking to learn a variety of things everywhere that they can. We are a small, rural community.

I believe that using the whole brain method in studying English and the Language Arts is a critical component of the STEAM Education development process.

I believe that students with a firm foundation of knowledge and creativeness can create the impossible, to be flexible and to become a well-rounded citizen of the 21st century. Creative learning helps to provide a unique process of combining the left and right sides of the brain for learning English and Literature. The whole-brain concept combines creativity and educational knowledge to express oneself in an area of learning that expands one's horizon. STEAM learning does just that! We are an educational community that honors intelligence and views it as an integral part of our school's role in the education of future citizens. In our small high school - we are "full STEAM ahead" with our students in their track of preparing for the future.

My Project

This "Easel & English Project" is for supplies for my English 2 classroom. These supplies will improve the learning experience in the English classroom with added visual and student participation activities.

Large chart paper pads, dry erase markers, and an easel will be used in training or teaching lessons, brainstorming sessions, planning lessons, project management and agile processes, meetings and presentations.

Anchor charts will be made and used through the school year hung on the classroom walls as reference charts for students. Additional assorted dry eraser markers, colored broad tip markers and sticky pads will add to the teaching experience with group and individual exercises and project in a variety of lessons and activities in the English 2 classroom.
