My Students

My physical science students are probably some of the most hands on, enthusiastic learners that I have ever met in my experiences teaching. They are constantly asking questions, making comments, and designing ideas for class. These particular students are very hands on learners and do have a passion to succeed in my classroom.

Expanding their knowledge is one of the driving factors behind their enthusiasm for physical science.

They aim to do the extreme and find ways to increase their educational platform. Above everything these students care about what they are learning and are pushed to the limits to expand and perfect their knowledge.

My Project

My students need the opportunity to learn as much about the physical world as possible and being from such a small school we do not have the staff to offer a wide range of science courses. Over the years Earth Science has traditionally been taught in junior high and then forgotten about throughout their educational careers. My goal is to bring this forgotten, yet very important field of science back into the light in high school science classes. I believe that the this generation and future generations need to understand how this planet works and how we can help it in the future.

Physical science teaches students about the world around them, but what is that if you don't first understand the world itself?

I strive to find ways to incorporate a variety of sciences together into one topic to show how they interact. This also allows me to increase the activities and labs that the students are able to perform and learn from. Not only will this textbook allow me to design a stronger curriculum for the students, but it will also allow them to acquire an education that is more well-rounded and beneficial in the long term.
