I teach Science and Math in a high poverty schoolwhere I am trying to have more hands-on materials for the students to manipulate. My students are 3rd Graders and I will be using and sharing my materials for the life of the kits.

My district, as many others, are cutting funds left and right. I am in need of these supplies to help teach the subjects in which the state/district is asking me to teach. Instead of more paper, which they are cutting too, I need hands-on materials for them to actually use and learn with.

Having more hands-on materials for Science would really help and excite my students. Using the kits for each section to go along with the books on teaching life, physical, earth and even weather (which is part of the kit). Playing games and using manipulatives can really boost a child's imagination and understanding of a topic. Being told how to do and how it would work is a good start, but when the students actually get to use and see how they work, then they will really grasp the content and understand fully.

With your help, you will make it possible for my students to truly understand the different types of Science and understanding the different types. With your donation, you will make it possible for them to have fun and explore parts of Science that I am not able to acquire myself.
