This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a STEM-based charter school in Naples, Florida with 74% free or reduced-price lunches. The families we serve really want what is best for their kids and trust me as their teacher to help make those decisions. The students in my classroom are very loving and caring individuals.

My students are passionate, eccentric, beautiful, intelligent, and all-around amazing. When you look into their eyes, you know that they are eager to consume knowledge. These students appreciate each and every day that they spend in the classroom because they know that they are going to use their minds in the most creative and innovative ways possible.
My Project
I want my students to get hands-on, real-life experience with money. I am requesting items to start a classroom store where students earn money for the work they do in school, but also a system where they first pay bills before being able to make "want" purchases. They will pay rent for their desk, and any extra privileges they would like to participate in.
We will use play money and students will carry checkbooks and log how much was earned each day.
Our class store will have the students excited about earning money. We will have the following items set up in the store so students can Earn, Save and Buy a treat for themselves to take home!
