This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My Algebra 1 students are creative, curious, and full of potential. They come from diverse cultural backgrounds and face unique academic and personal challenges. Despite these, they work hard to learn a subject that many find intimidating—math. I want to create a classroom environment that celebrates effort, growth, and participation, not just perfect answers.
This project will provide motivating rewards like pencils, notebooks, sharpeners, sticky notes, and other practical supplies to recognize student progress.
These small prizes will be part of our classroom reward system to encourage engagement, build confidence, and reinforce positive behavior. Every time a student earns a prize for participation or persistence, they’ll be reminded that their efforts matter and are worth celebrating. Your support will help create a space where students feel proud to take ownership of their learning journey.
