My Project
Every school library should be the heart of student learning! By adding these requested early reader books to our library collection, I hope to enthrall students at an early age with the enjoyment of books. Early elementary is a prime time for students to develop a love of reading as they are preparing to transition into reading for enjoyment. My goal is for our students to fall in love with fun characters while mastering their reading skills.
The students in our district deserve to have quality, engaging children's literature that appeals to their interests.
Our students live in a rural, low-income area in Missouri while attending a Title I school district. Many do not have access to books at home or transportation to a local library. These students depend on our school library for their literary needs. As our district strives to continually improve reading scores and engagement, our students need access to early reader literature.
