Early Music Melodic Instruments

Help me give my students more melodic instruments to use in their early music education classes.

My Project

My youngest students truly light up my day, and it would mean the world to me to be able to expand what we do in early music class. BoomWhackers are fantastic for learning about melody in music, and children love them! With these instruments, my littles will be able to exercise some of their energy while making music and having fun. The roll-a-way keyboards are another great tool for early music education, as students can easily begin playing melodies and exploring the piano anywhere in my classroom. We have some nino cabasas in our classroom, but not enough for all students to use one together, so getting more will make everyone feel included during our rhythmic practice!

Having these instruments would allow my youngest students to greatly expand their melodic music education beyond what is capable in our classroom at the moment.

My students work with singing at the moment, but all instrument use for my youngest classes is rhythmic. They would be so excited to have these instruments, and as an educator, I would be equally as excited because I know this is going to make such a positive impact on their understanding and development of melody in music class.

Music class is a space where my youngest students can relax, have fun, connect with one another despite cultural differences and language barriers, and explore different sounds. Having this project funded would allow for an incredible addition to our classroom, as well as expand our music making capabilities for the youngest students at our school.
