My Project
I want to give my learners an opportunity to build on early math concepts and skills through these hands on items. This grant asks for number recognition and counting supplies that will give my students an opportunity to practice independently and in small groups. The shape activities allow them to connect with the world around them while building on geometrical concepts. They will also get a chance to work cooperatively with their friends, taking turns and sharing materials. Giving my students materials to gain foundational math literacy skills will make them strong learners in kindergarten.
