Daily, students enter my Early Literacy Intervention classroom excited and ready to receive instructional reading, writing and spelling support. We utilize the Wilson's FUNdations program. This program has proven to be a very effective teaching tool for our Teachers and Literacy Interventionist (Tutor), such as myself. The program provides interactive digital and remote activities that support each daily lesson.
Unfortunately, I have underutilized this component when tutoring students, because we did not have the proper classroom computer monitor.
For this reason, I am soliciting your support to obtain the "ViewSonic TD2223 - 1080p 10-Point Multi IR Touch Screen Monitor". This resource will help my students master reading and writing skills such as letters and sound identification, letter formation, decoding words, sentence and syllable structuring, fluency when reading, and much, much more.
Our students are motivated, eager learners, who desire to become great readers. They are diligent in their study and ready to apply the skills taught, that will enable them to meet our school and District goal: “Every student will enter third grade equipped with the foundational literacy skills that empower them to read to learn.”
