Help me give my students a boost in early literacy. The Lakeshore alphabet center will help us learn letter-sounds which will be reinforced through activities like tracing, rubbings, and letter matching games. Let's make learning to read fun!

My Project
This learning center will be invaluable for my English Language Learners. 80% of my class is ELL so I plan on using early literacy to not only help my native english speakers but also my bilingual students. English is not an easy language to learn but we can make it incredibly fun using games and toys. ELL students face a unique challenge as they must master a new language within a short period of time.
Mastering phonics is one the core skills in early literacy.
When children match letters to sounds, they develop the beginner reading skills that will help them read and write in the future. Building a letter-sound library in the classroom while simultaneously providing a rich experience through intentional activities will set my students up for success.
With your help, we can permanently build a classroom literacy center that will not only help ELL students but also future emergent readers.
