Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our library serves nine classrooms of Preschool and Kindergarten students. The children have library class for an hour at a time and need hands-on activities to keep their attention and inspire their creativity.

My early childhood learners are bursting with imagination and stories!

Lakeshore Story Kits are interactive flannel board stories that will help my youngest library students learn to retell familiar stories. The Storyteller Writing Box, felt object sets, puppets, and other storytelling activities will inspire original story ideas and dramatic play. Students will practice story elements including "beginning, middle, and end," characters, and setting. Students will also practice their communication skills as they share materials and ideas with each other.
