This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What I love most about my students is their incredible curiosity, resilience, and joy for learning—even in the face of challenges. They come to school each day eager to explore, connect, and grow together. Many of them have unique needs, and our classroom rug is where we come together for stories, lessons, and calming moments.

Right now, our rug is old and stained, even after repeated cleanings.

A new rug will give my students a clean, cozy space where they can focus, feel safe, and be excited to learn. It will improve our circle time and create a welcoming area for reading and relaxation. This simple change would make a huge difference in their daily experience.
