My Project
I am a Preschool-2nd grade teacher at a Title 1 school. These items will assist me in setting up activities for freely chosen play & learning in my early childhood classroom. Freely chosen play allows a child to make decisions and control their play. They follow their imagination & interests. Freely chosen play improves children's well-being and development.
Play improves cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being.
Children learn about the world around them through play. They also gain confidence, resilience, communication skills, curiosity, self-esteem, and more. Children learn to express themselves, develop linguistic skills, explore their feelings, and develop self-discipline through play.
Developmental toys and activities provide students an opportunity to think differently, challenge themselves, and discover new things on their own. This enhances logical and abstract thinking, problem-solving skills, and concentration power. Developmentally appropriate items allow children to experiment, engage, and solve problems.
