This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school district is nestled in between beautiful bluffs and a large river. Our students have so much beauty around them, but suffer economically. Due to budget cuts and money being allocated in other areas, school supplies are becoming a burden on our district's family's. In fourth grade students are ready to do some amazing research projects and essays, however, our large EL population adds a new challenge to this work. Fortunately, we do have several multilingual research sites available, but without headphones, using them can be a challenge.

This year my students have been doing so many neat group projects that use technology.

For example, we have an annual project late in the year to learn about our own state of Wisconsin. Each student will be finding a specific interest from the state, researching their topic, creating a poster, and presenting a slideshow.

A class set of headphones will help with the project listed above, and so much more. Please consider donating to our classroom to help me provide the best learning opportunities available.
