Ear-Resistible Focus

Help me give my students headphones so that they are able to focus and hear clearly while working on programs such as i-Ready, i-Station, ESL testing, and completing tests in SchoolCity.

My Students

I teach in a second grade classroom in southwest Houston. My campus is a Title I school district where over 60% of my students are from low social-economic homes and many students are ESL. Many of my students come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Many of the students of my school are living below the poverty line.

But despite this, they come ready to learn each and every day!

My students are always looking for new learning opportunities and jumping at the chance to grow as individuals. Second grade is a huge growth year in academics, as well as in every aspect of life. This class is will start to grow in independence, and we need tools to help them do so.

They are always looking to help one another with their learning, and their everyday lives. They strive to create a community where everyone is included. They are working their hardest to become citizens of their communities, as well as well-rounded students.

My Project

My students will benefit from these headphones because they will be able to utilize our different educational programs such as SchoolCity., i-Ready, i-Station, and more. They can listen to their writing. They can listen to their reading to see which errors they made and how to fix them. ESL students will benefit significantly because they will be able to build fluency and necessary language acquisition skills.

These headphones are going to be useful since they connect to each other and so no splitters are necessary!

Please consider sponsoring my classroom as the students in both blocks will be able to use these daily to enrich their lives in literacy, math, and technology.
