This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Remember learning to reading and the feeling of finally understanding what all those letters on the page meant? My students have the drive to read and the skills to read but we have very little for them to read in our classroom. Be our hero and send us books for them to devour.
My students are eager and enthusiastic about school.
They have dreams of being doctors and scientists and love to read about things they are learning and things they have not yet learned. Our school is a small school with very little resources. Our classrooms are a bit rundown and school library has not received any new books in quiet sometime. We have a wonderful new principal who is trying her best to find funds for new things but the funds simply are not there.
My Project
A new leveled library would change these boys and girls lives, give them dreams to dream teach them of far off places and adventures they have not had. This new library will give them a range of books to use in our accelerated readers program to help increase their reading skills.
Donations to our classroom will have a huge impact on these boys and girls' love of reading and drive to increase their reading skills.
We all love to hear and read stories and these children are no different.
