Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students need children's literature to help them think deeply about concepts and engage in conversations connecting literature to their outside world.

My Students

I teach second grade students at LES. My classroom is a place where students interact with each other to learn and grow.

I work in a Title I school with a variety of levels and needs in one classroom, including English Language Learners and special needs students.

My students inspire me to try new things and find interesting lessons for them. I work in an urban school in Richmond Unified. My students do not have everyday access to book stores, healthy grocery stores, a variety of restaurants, or shopping malls. They come to school excited to see their friends and participate in our activities. It would be a tremendous help to build my classroom library and provide educational supplies for my students.

My Project

My students do not have everyday access to book stores or a library in their neighborhood. They come to school excited and eager to learn. The supplies I have added create a strong foundation for my classroom library where every student can have access to quality reading materials. I chose books from fiction to non-fiction, classics to awards and less popular authors in order to create a wide range of books to choose from. It would be a tremendous help to build my classroom library and provide educational supplies for my students. Thank you in advance for your support of my students.
