Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are creative, inquisitive, and eager to learn. They have big ideas for their future careers.
I want to my students to explore engineering and see it as a possible career choice.
I am currently teaching my students the engineering design process and exposing them to the wide variety of career choices in the engineering field. Therefore, I am asking for non fiction and fiction books about engineering, engineers ("Rosie the Riveter"), and the engineering design process. I am also requesting engineering kits so students can do hands on engineering projects.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
