My Project
I'm teaching geometry in a high school, and I'm doing a unit using Sketchup, a free 3D modeling program, and it works so much better using a mouse than the trackpad. I went foraging for extra mouse(s) around the closets and abandoned computer classrooms and found none. The students really love the work they're doing in Sketchup, making shapes and imagining buildings, but it would go so much faster with a mouse. I'm hoping this Sketchup modeling is a skill they can take with them after graduation, as well as jumping ahead of the frequent question: when am I ever going to use this?
