Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are low-income and have a passion for learning. When provided with resources in their native language they have the potential to exceed all expectations. They are bilingual students who need a supportive environment to flourish. Many students do not have books to call their own at home due to the fact that they live in high poverty. The resources many of us take for granted are a luxury in this community. With these resources, the sky will be the limit for these students.
My Project
As the year progresses so does the need for new materials. Students are no longer able to share materials regardless of their location. We are entering a new math unit on place value. Students need to have their own ten frames and base ten sets. The dry erase boards will help to provide individual kits for hybrid instruction. The set of books will help with guided reading. You will be helping provide students with the much-needed materials they need for their continued learning. I thank you in advance for your support and commitment to our students.
