Help me give my students assistive technology tools to read text, both paper and digital.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Wu's classroom raised $999
This project is fully funded
My Project
My students are bright, rising 4th/5th graders in Oakland, CA. When text is read aloud to them, they make keen observations and connections. One plays chess and makes heartwarming cards to his mom. The other likes math and has great logical reasoning skills. They are hampered in their progress because they cannot read, despite significant intervention over the past several years. We will continue to implement research based reading intervention, but also need to prepare them for middle school and beyond. These portable text-to-speech tools will let them read instructions, classroom texts, research materials to help them access grade level content independently. Thank you for your support.
