Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Creating a library Maker Space Design Den in our school library will be beneficial for all of our students. The Design Den will open a whole new world of resources and exploration in students with their learning process. Because projects done in the Design Den will be focused on student-centered inquiry, the space will be ideal for the creation of all types.

Our Design Den will create a culture of curiosity and creativity, encouraging our students to learn about a variety of technology as well as craft-making.

We will focus on mindfulness coloring activities, 3D printing, and modeling with LEGO sets.

The large-size mindfulness coloring poster and pens will allow our students to express themselves creatively in the library.

We want our students to be able to create projects for all their classes and use the 3D printer to make the project come to life. The 3D printer is the most desired technology item by students for the library.

The LEGO sets are another great option for our students to express themselves creatively in their academic classes. Our students will be able to create stop-motion videos using their iPads and 3D models.
