This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are a brilliant group of creative minds! In our class, we use Gamification to keep the students engaged, and they have blown me away with their imaginations and creativity!
The books, lights, costumes, and props in this project will help to make our class even more engaging!
Instead of quizzes, students compete in weekly "Boss Battles" based on Dungeons & Dragons mechanics. They have to answer questions correctly in order to win the battle. This method has inspired students to go home and study new vocabulary and practice reading strategies to be prepared for the battle on Friday. It is so much fun and these items will only help to make them more engaged!
