This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As we move through the second half of the year, behaviors tend to take turn toward the negative. I would like to give my students something to work toward during the coming months as they keep their choices in check. The rubber ducks will be an interesting way to allow them to gain rewards, by choosing one that associates with a particular item! Many of my students are avid writers, artists, and imaginative children who love to have outlets on paper. The notebooks and pens are a great addition to the rewards pool for that reason! Many are also very active both in and outside of school, so the backpacks and beachballs will be a great incentive for all of those students! I am hoping that by bringing this playful game into the classroom as a reward system the students will have a fun way to work toward something they like while making good choices.
