Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our Dual Language program gives students the tools to become bilingual and bi-literate individuals in both English and Spanish. Not only do they learn to speak in both languages, but they are also learning to read and write. They receive instruction in two languages on a daily basis.
This year our dual language program has shifted from a partner teaching model to self contained.
It will be very important to have our room organized to keep things running smoothly.
Students in first grade will be getting textbooks and workbooks in 2 languages. To help the littles stay organized, I am requesting book boxes to store their many materials. Time of of the essence in any classroom, but it is especially important in a dual classroom. These bins will help them keep their things easily accessible and help us maximize our time.
