My Students

I am a teacher in a high poverty school. Many of my students are being raised by single parents or struggling families. The students I teach are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Not only are my students faced with poverty, but they also have special needs. I am looking to provide them with creative, yet meaningful experiences.

My students are energetic, creative, and spontaneous.

They deserve to receive love and lots of positive attention. From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom, I focus on their abilities and potential. I want them to experience life and have some of the opportunities they may not be afforded in their everyday lives. I want to do this in a creative and positive way. My focus is to inspire learners of all abilities to believe they can achieve what they dream.

My Project

It is hard to do school work when you are sitting in wet clothes. Our homeless students have limited access to dry clean clothes. Sometimes accidents happen whether it is falling in water or peeing in our pants. We want our kids to feel safe, comfortable and dry. Having a change of clothes at school will be a necessity for our most needy kids. We would like to be able to send the kids home in dry clean clothes.

A clean dry pair of pants is what they need.

It is what is necessary to keep them in school and parents working. Pants that fit and aren't falling off will help them feel comfortable. We need some pants for our kiddos. This project will help provide those much needed pants.
