My Students
My students are a sweet group of kids that are eager to learn and reach their learning goals. Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with 100% free breakfast, lunch, and snack.Some of our students receive weekend food packs to get them through their time at home. Our district has been hit hard by budget cuts and we see the effects of that in our classroom.
From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom, I focus on their well being and their potential to learn and excel in every aspect of their life.
My Project
I am requesting a class set of dry erase paddles, markers, and erasers for our everyday classroom use. We will use the boards every day to practice our letter and number formation, writing words and sentences, and so much more. We will be able to use the boards for hands-on practice and understanding.
Using the dry erase boards they will be able to show what they know and practice critical writing skills with ease.
We will use the paddles at small reading groups to enhance their pre-reading skills as well as their handwriting. The boards will help them to stay organized and to have everything they need in one place. It will cut down on our preparation time and leave more time for instruction and practice.
