This year, I am working with a great bunch of first graders! In my class, I have 30 of the most loving, caring, and brightest scholars!
My students and I have created a safe, engaging, homelike environment for us to learn and grow together.
We will use this time together not only for them to grow as students, soaking in information, reaching their goals and moving on to the next grade, but also for me to grow as a teacher.
That's where DonorsChoose.org comes in. Not everyone can buy school supplies, and our school is fairly new. We don't have all of the materials that well-established schools have.
My Project
Last school year was completely virtual for my kiddos. This school year, we will be completely in person. It is going to be a big adjustment, since most of these kiddos have never been inside a school before.
We will use these magnetic dry erase boards for many things!
Because of COVID, students are not allowed to share school supplies. So everyone needs their own dry erase board. They will use them to answer questions during whole group teaching times (for example, show me how you add 10 + 4). The students will use them during small group times, to practice writing the sounds they hear me say (for example, write the word you hear when I say these sounds /c/ /a/ /t/).
Please consider donating to this project to help out my students!!!
