My classroom is a high-energy, rapidly evolving learning environment. Seventh and eighth grade students are active participants in creating and performing music. Whether skilled performers in the band, or general music students without any experience, all are given the opportunities to experience the joy of music.
Many students are interested in drum and percussion performance. Due to space restrictions we cannot allow students to practice on a full drum set during classes because the sheer volume will be extremely disruptive.
With an electronic drum set, students will be able to practice on a full drum set wearing a pair of headphones. This drum set can be placed in any part of the music room. No longer will we need to worry about disturbing classes because the only sound coming from the drum set will be heard in the student's ears.
Your help will ensure that my students are able to hone their skills as percussionists during any class at any time of day. They will no longer need to wait until the school day is finished to practice their music without disturbing other classrooms.
