Listening to music and playing together, are important parts of the performing arts. Did you know that music stimulates the WHOLE brain? My students come from diverse backgrounds, with many different experiences. Some students benefit from private lessons, but the majority do not have that opportunity. Music becomes a team-building activity for the class and improvising really makes it fun!
Making music our own, creating and improvising, is the goal of this project!
We use songs and instruments to experience music. With the tools to make our Orff instruments accessible in all classes, we can make it more exciting and experience more together.
My Project
Enhancing the quick access for the Orff instruments with the cart will mean we get to USE those instruments more often. Additionally, we’ll all benefit by the presence of nice tubanos for the class. We could use them every day. When we have additional mallets to supplement the old ones, our instruments will sound even better!
We cannot wait to share the new sounds we create with the instrument supplies you bring us!
Our drum circles will be enhanced with the sound of new tubanos that sound so much richer than the frame drums we use now. Adding those sounds to the dance movements we make will make our music program so much more popular!
