it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love when I accompany a song with my drum and on multiple occasions, my principal has mentioned to them the hope of making a drum circle one day. I want to be able to give that experience to them by getting enough drums to make a classroom set. They would have so much fun and be able to drum out the rhythms and chants we do in class all the time. I've seen how the students in our district love playing the drum at other schools, so I hope to bring that joy here at my school.
