Help me give my students percussion practice pads so they can adequately develop their percussion technique through independent practice. These practice pads are expensive and my students cannot afford them otherwise.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Help me get these kids rockin' in band. My students want to experience progress and growth in their band. They want to hear progress being made and want a band program they can call home.
My students are resilient because they've adapted to significant changes, specifically, a revolving door of band directors for the past three years.
These students deserve better. They deserve a special classroom atmosphere that will energize them, comfort them, and allow them to express themselves. Help me show my students they deserve the best experience possible!
My Project
Currently, we rotate drummers between 3 snare drums so these practice pads will allow all drummers in every class to practice independently or simultaneously on an assortment of projects, exercises, and assessments.
These full size practice pads and drumsticks will allow my students to develop their percussion technique between 5 classes.
They will be used 7 hours daily and will impact 77 students. Too often, the percussion section is the last in line to receive supplies because their equipment can cost a small fortune.
Therefore, these supplies are crucial for these drummers. Please help them get the supplies they need so they can achieve their goals.
