This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students have a drive to learn rhythmically challenging material on drums. Have a class set of practice drum pads will allow all students to stay engaged while practicing in class.
Our students excel at music and this would be an opportunity for all students to play drums.
Our goal is to start a drumline to potentially compete and travel in the future.
Drum pads are a unique way for all students to participate without sensory overload while learning patterns and routines. Students who feel comfortable will be able to stay focused in class and during performances.
