My Project

My amazing students are inqusitive, music loving, creative kids from rural Western Pennsylvania. Because we are such a rural area, my students often have little exposure to different cultures. I am trying to change that through music class.

Help me give my students instruments to experience the sounds of the world music.

Music, while universal, is also special and specific to its culture and people; I want to share this with my students. Learning the music of the world however, is hard when we are limited in to instruments traditionally found only in western music.

My goal with this project it to expand our collection of world drums and related instruments so I can continue to teach and expose my students to all the amazing music of the world.
