This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning. Brad Henry
I work in a school in North Alabama; the majority of our students are middle to low income kids.
Our students range from low to upper class. Our kids love to have fun and learn.
We want to give every kid the opportunity the learn more, and be good at what they do. We want them to leave feeling successful in everything that they do.
My Project
WOW! How exciting would it be to fly a drone? My students would be getting an opportunity to do something they might not would do at home. But, not only getting to fly a drone, they will have to program it. We have been learning about programming, so I can't think of a better way to learn from an experiment with programming, but through a drone!
Drones will fly with us programming them!
My students will be learning something educational and fun. In today's world technology is in such a big depend, you just never know what might spark that interest for one of my students through this grant.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
