This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are future engineers, designers and entrepreneurs. They are makers who love to design and develop their ideas to help solve problems in the world. They are artists who love to draw, paint, build and perform. At our middle school in Jamaica Queens, some of our students may not have access to technology at home. We want to make sure our students know that there is no limit to what they can do when they work hard and believe in themselves.
My Project
My students are future makers, engineers and computer scientists. They love to try new technology and be creative.
Often when they think of drones there is a negative connotation but I want to show them how drones can be used for good.
Students will learn how to fly the drone and use it as a part of bigger projects. The drone could be used for taking pictures and making videos for our school. This can help us create a recruitment video for our school and record other performances for our school community.
