My Students

We are trying to overhaul our media center and update it to a "Learning Commons" with a Makerspace at the center. Makerspaces are places where kids can design, build, code, create and "make" things! We need supplies that will allow our students the freedom to think outside the box to dream and to be inspired.

My students are amazing learners who love technology and the creativity that it allows!

They are trying to become future ready by studying not just reading, math, writing, science, and social studies, but also engineering, art, coding, robotics, website design, and more!

My Project

Drones and drone flying are a growing marketable job prospect in our fast-paced, technology driven culture. Drones are used in photography, real estate sales, surveillance and security, and countless other ways. As Bill Gates said,

“Drones overall will be more impactful than I think people recognize, in positive ways to help society.”

These six drones and accessories will expand my students horizons to career options that they never would have considered otherwise. My students need the opportunity to experience basic drone flying, including researching the rules and regulations with flying drones, practicing flying the drones, replacing the motors and props when needed, and more!
