This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students in my classroom are active learners. They are very independent workers. Most come from lower economic homes in San Jose, CA, and have very few resources at their disposal. I also have a lot of students who are bilingual, and English is their second language.
Students in my classroom are thinkers and problem solvers.
They dive into all areas of the curriculum and read about it, explore it, question it, and develop a good understanding of the subject or topic we are learning about. We are in an open pod school pod with 3 other classes.
My Project
My students are putting on a production of 101 Dalmatians this spring. We are in need of backdrop curtains to create a backstage area, help with scenery, and prevent the audience from seeing the students before they go on stage.
We currently do not have anything we can use for our school production to help set the stage and would love to have some black backdrop curtains on rods.
The students have put in a lot of hard work before we perform. I want to provide the whole theater experience for them and give them what they need for the show. If you are able to help us out that would be greatly appreciated. These backdrops will be used and shared among many students in the school for many years to come. I hope you are able to help us out.
