My Project
Covid-19 has impacted our students in countless ways. Our school previously had classroom tables where students were paired in groups of two. When Covid-19 forced six feet social distancing, our paired tables were replaced with individual desks. These desks were in storage and were original from when our school opened over 50 years ago. The desks are damaged and wobbly, which causes frequent disruptions in the classroom.
Through this project students will be given new classroom desks, which will enhance their ownership of their materials, it will decrease classroom distractions, and it will enhance the classroom learning environment.
Students deserve this essential item! It will impact their academic achievement through the daily use of this material in both small group and whole group instruction. It will impact their social-emotional learning through the increased sense of belonging in our classroom.
